At MHA, we believe in giving all our children wider experiences in and out of the classroom. We believe that by doing so, we help our children leave us as well-rounded individuals who have explored many different opportunities, helping them develop their character and open their minds to new experiences and future interests.
By the end of Year Six, our children will have...
- represented the school in sport
- learned water and beach safety and surfed
- learned how to ride a bike on the road
- taken up a leadership role
- raised money for charity
- played musical instruments
- performed in a variety of plays
- stayed away from home
Extra-Curricular Clubs
We offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs for our children to enjoy. We run a variety of after school and lunchtime clubs, from sports such as cycling and football, through to music and art and coding. Please contact the office for further details. Some clubs are restricted on numbers and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. To provide high quality tuition and a good variety, most of our clubs are provided by external providers and therefore may be charged for.
Music Lessons
We currently have keyboard, guitar, drum and brass lessons available in school.
Children receive ten lessons per term in school time and these are currently priced at £48.75 per term. Subsidised lessons are available if you are in receipt of certain benefits. Further details can be obtained from the Office.
We have a drum kit and keyboards for use during lessons in school but you will need to buy your own for practice at home. For any child taking drum lessons, the Music Service recommends the use of percussion practice pads, which are priced at approximately £8.00 each and available from most music stores.
If you would like to add your child to the waiting list of children who would like to receive lessons, please go to the Cornwall Music Service Trust website and sign up.
For any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Office.
