All Ofsted statutory policies are located under Statutory Information. However, below are a selection of other policies you may find useful. If you can't find a particular policy, then please contact the school office.
WHERE TO GET SUPPORT
Your first point of contact is always the class teacher. Most questions or problems can be sorted out quickly and easily in this way. Teachers are available for you to speak to at the start and end of each day, or contact the school to arrange a phone call or appointment. We also have regular parent evenings to update you on progress and extra meetings if your child needs further support.
HEALTH & WELLBEING
Below are downloads and links that relate to physical, mental and emotional wellbeing for your child and your family.
We recognise that the decision to close a school in the event of an emergency (e.g. snow, flooding, no water or heating) has a significant impact upon you, as parents. The document below outlines the agreed procedure which all schools are asked to follow and offers advice to parents on the key things to consider, both before and after the decision to close has been made.
We currently have keyboard, guitar, drum and brass lessons available in school.
Children receive ten lessons per term in school time and these are currently priced at £48.75 per term. Subsidised lessons are available if you are in receipt of certain benefits. Further details can be obtained from the Office.
We have a drum kit and keyboards for use during lessons in school but you will need to buy your own for practice at home. For any child taking drum lessons, the Music Service recommends the use of percussion practice pads, which are priced at approximately £8.00 each and available from most music stores.
We keep a waiting list of children who would like to receive lessons and we check with the Music Service Teachers on a continuous basis to see if they can offer any more places. As soon as they can, we notify you.
For any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Office. Alternatively, if you’d like to put your child straight onto a waiting list, just download and complete the pro forma and return it to the Office.
